MSNBC’s Chris Matthews had some commentary on the State of the Union Address last night:

He is post-racial by all appearances. You know, I forgot he was black tonight for an hour. You know, he’s gone a long way to become a leader of this country and passed so much history in just a year or two.

Like being black is something to be forgotten?  I don’t forget that President Obama is black. I just don’t care.

Think you may be grasping at straws here. I think hes merely implying that the whole country made such a big deal over the fact that he is a black president that they never stopped to just look at him as the president. I think he means that the race of our president stoped being a big deal. And when I say big deal, I don’t mean in the bad way. Our counrty has come along way from not allowing blacks to even vote to having a black president. I doubt Chris Mathews was being racist. By the way, isn’t this guy on your side, he identifies himself as being a Conservative. He loved and voted for you’re man, Bush.

    Chris Matthews? Conservative? Hahahahahahahahaha!

  3. Al in St. Lou says:

Matthews was pretty hard on Bill Clinton and downright harsh to Hillary. I think some libs jump to the assumption that Matthews must be a conservative since he fails to worship the Clintons.

  4. John LaTessa says:

If Chris Matthews is a conservative, I’m the Pope!

  5. Evalynne Beth says:

I didn’t say he was a Conservative. I said he Identifies himself as a conservative.

  6. Jenny says:

I think he’d throw up in his mouth before he could get out the words, “I identify myself as a conservative.”
